The mission of UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency) is to protect and support the increasing number of refugees around the globe. The number of those who need our help currently marked 67.7 million in 128 country and the numbers are still growing.
The amount of funds we need for these activities surpasses 770 billion US dollars, but we still lack 72% of the total budget (as of July 2017).
We started “the UNHCR Refugee Film Festival” in order to raise awareness of the issue among as many Japanese people as possible.
