The 9th UNHCR Refugee Film Festival (October 2014) Call for Entries
The Refugee Film Festival is open to all film genres (feature, animated, documentary, etc.) on the issues of refugees, internal displacement and statelessness, and/or films made by former/current refugees, IDPs and stateless persons.
The festival aims to advocate and therefore, there is no competition.
No entry fees are due for submitting films, videos or new media projects. The festival organization must have received the completed submission forms together with a screener DVD before the deadline of 30 April 2014.
Accepted original formats are 35mm, Digibeta, HDCAM, DVCAM, Blu-ray and DVD.
Films are submitted with English commentary and/or English dialogue, or in the original version with English and/or Japanese subtitles. Audio is accepted in any language.
Please indicate if your film has Japanese subtitles.
The submitted screener DVD will not be returned to the entrants.
After official selection for any Refugee Film Festival program, the festival has the right to use the publicity material (trailer, press books, posters, stills etc.) to promote the festival.
If the film is selected, all shipping costs and insurance to and from the festival office are the sender's responsibility. Films must be accompanied by return instructions. Carrier account number, or authorization for charges to be paid by addressee, or a stamped, self-addressed envelope, must be included.

- Press kit (digital press kit if possible) including photos, film and production details,
cast / crew list, biography / filmography of the film makers, list of awards received and film festivals, production note, press clipping, etc.
- Original flyers and posters (if available)
- Trailer DVD (if available)
