【Film Info】"DUBLIN'S TRAP: ANOTHER SIDE OF GREEK CRISIS"

DUBLIN'S TRAP will be shown for the first time in Japan.
The European Dublin II Regulation was designed to limit asylum applications to a single country amongst European signatory states. According to this regulation, the country in which asylum seekers first arrive will hold responsibility for their processing.
Greece, while also struggling to overcome financial collapse, has been forced by this agreement to bear much of the burden of persons seeking asylum in Europe. This documentary follows an Afghan Asylum Seeker who decided to challenge the Dublin II Regulation in the European Court of Human Rights.

Bryan Carter, the producer of this film, travelled frequently to Greece over a period of four years and became fascinated by Greek culture, the country's beautiful landscape and friendly people. He made this film in order to call greater attention to Greece's immigration problems, a contentious domestic issue.
