【9th UNHCR Refugee Film Festival Internship Programme】

UNHCR Representation in Japan is seeking interns who will assist the work of the 9th UNHCR Refugee Film Festival.

【Duration】 In principle, 4 months or longer/minimum 3 working days per week, totaling 80 working days or more, but negotiable.  The attendance before, during and after the actual Refugee Film Festival in October is compulsory.
【Number of post】 1-2
【Qualifications & Criteria】
-In principle, preference will be given to applicants who have completed undergraduate/graduate studies or are enrolled in graduate or higher degree programmes in one of the following areas: social science, humanities, international relations, international law, journalism etc with demonstrated interest in the field of human rights or refugee issues.
-Applicants will be fluent in English and Japanese, both written and spoken.
-Strong applicants will have a good knowledge of MS Office programmes and Internet applications, with excellent research skills using the Internet and statistical data.
-Applicants will have the ability to adapt and work as part of a team in a multicultural environment with a strong sense of responsibility and minimal supervision.
-Additional consideration will be given for past work experiences including translation, volunteering and professional office work.
-Intern/working experience in visual, film industry is a plus.
