Since 2006 Nir has been involved in many prominent cultural events in various positions. He consulted, produced and artistically directed events and conferences, among them as the Artistic Director Assistant at The Acco Festival in 2004 and 2005, Artistic Director of play readings projects at the Cameri Theatre in Tel Aviv (2005-2007), Culture Programmer for The Polish Institute in Tel Aviv since 2007 and as Artistic Director of Nekudat Maga at the Israel Museum in 2010 and 2011. In 2010 he was selected among other prominent Israeli culture makers by The Culture and Sport Ministry of Israel to participate in a yearlong "Future Culture Leaders" workshop led by distinguished Israeli cultural institutions directors. He is the current Cultural Attaché of the State of Israel in Tokyo, Japan.
