Based on the autobiography of a Palestinian journalist depicting the lives of women living in Jerusalem. Miral has lived in an orphanage since she was seven, when her mother died. Brought up safely inside the institute's walls, Miral is awakened to the reality of Palestinian refugees after being assigned to teach in a refugee camp.
