A 17-year-old Kurdish refugee takes swimming lessons in a seaside community in the north of France. His goal is to join his girlfriend in England by swimming across the English Channel. Set in Calais the film charts the bond that develops between an illegal Kurdish immigrant and a French swimming instructor.
